Hi, I’m Laurie.

Meeting my husband Stuart led to me moving to Rugby in 2009. I have always been a keen photographer, capturing images of memorable family events. In 2010, my son Quinn was born here, and it was this moment that inspired me to document our family story and help others do the same. After being asked to photograph one of my best friends sisters wedding back in 2014 I felt the need to turn my passion in to a profession and practiced/studied to become a professional photographer.

Studio L Photography was born.

For me a great photograph is composed by understanding lighting techniques, having a good eye to compose the image and last but definitely not least the connection you create as a photographer with the person in front of the camera.

I am a firm believer of “ less is more” and this reflects in my images, as I like to create timeless, elegant portraits through simplicity.
